11-10-21  THOUGHTS

One of David’s great strengths was his ability to praise God.  We should strive for better words and thoughts as we seek to praise the God of all heaven and earth.  We serve an AWESOME GOD!  GLORY BE TO HIS NAME!

Ps 146:1-10   Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul! 2  I will praise the LORD while I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. 3  Do not trust in princes, In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation. 4  His spirit departs, he returns to the earth; In that very day his thoughts perish. 5   How blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, Whose hope is in the LORD his God,  6  Who made heaven and earth, The sea and all that is in them; Who keeps faith forever; 7  Who executes justice for the oppressed; Who gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets the prisoners free. 8  The LORD opens the eyes of the blind; The LORD raises up those who are bowed down; The LORD loves the righteous; 9  The LORD protects the strangers; He supports the fatherless and the widow, But He thwarts the way of the wicked. 10  The LORD will reign forever, Your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the LORD!
Ps 147:1-5    Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant and praise is becoming. 2  The LORD builds up Jerusalem; He gathers the outcasts of Israel. 3  He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds. 4  He counts the number of the stars; He gives names to all of them. 5  Great is our Lord and abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite.
Isa 40:28-31    Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth Does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable. 29  He gives strength to the weary, And to him who lacks might He increases power.  30  Though youths grow weary and tired, And vigorous young men stumble badly, 31  Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.
Ps 139:17-18    How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them!  18  If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand. When I awake, I am still with You.
Rom 11:33     Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!

My Prayer:
Father God, your strength and might and power and glory are beyond our understanding.  Through the eyes of faith we know your awesome nature.  You have revealed your loving kindnesses from age to age.  The promise of Jesus has become the victory of all eternity.  You bring us into your great presence as friends, as children.  Give us greater capacity to lift you up and to praise your incomparable name.  We praise you O God!  We long for eternity in your presence.             In Jesus name       Amen
